Q How
do I access Online
Banking?
A After
an account has been opened at one of our locations,
or we have opened a CornerBank
account for you, first go to Online
Banking. The screen contains the following text - "Registered
Users, Please Enter Your User ID and Password. First time
users, please click here to register. You must accept the
terms and conditions of both the ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER
AGREEMENT AND DISCLOSURES and FUNDS AVAILABILITY POLICY
DISCLOSURE, in order to access the registration form."
As
a first time user, you will need to click on the link "click
here" and accept all terms and conditions of the
disclosures that are displayed. We'll process
your application and then notify you when you can access
the system.
Q How frequently
is my CornerBank, N.A. information updated?
A Online
Banking and our automated voice response system, Bankline,
are updated several times throughout the day with transactions
occurring that business day. All
other customer information is updated nightly Monday through
Friday, whether you access Online
Banking, Bankline,
or you call our Customer Service department.
Q Can I
look at all of my transactions at any time?
A Yes,
with Online
Banking you have access to your account information
24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Check images are also available
on line. When you're looking at your account page, you'll
notice the check numbers are underlined - that means they're
linked. Simply click on the check number to view the image.
You can even print them if you want to!
Q What
type of computer equipment is needed to access Online
Banking?
A Any
computer that has Internet access with a Web Browser capable
of supporting 128 bit encryption. If you are using the latest
Web Browser from Microsoft or Netscape, you probably are
already using 128 bit encryption.
Q What
keeps my financial information safe?
A We
have taken extraordinary steps to insure your information
and banking transactions are safe. The 128 bit encryption
method we employ, rewrites all the information in a mathematical
code, which is only deciphered by the bank and your computer.
This code is changed every time you connect with Online
Banking. We also employ other security measures, that
we cannot discuss at this time, for security reasons.
Q Is the
Internet safe for banking transactions?
A Because
we use the latest data encryption techniques, and employ
other security measures, your Online
Banking transactions are as safe as using one of our
ATM's, or one of our convenient locations.
Q I'd like to
know more about the security methods you have implemented.
Where can I read more?
A For
a more detailed description of the security features in
our Online Banking System, please see our Online
Banking System Security Overview.
Q How does
bill payment work?
A To
help you understand the process, we have provided a diagram.
Q How long
does it take to set up a new payee in the bill payment system?
A Once
you have entered a new payee into the Electronic Bill Payment
System, it takes two business days to set up the payee to
receive payments.
Q Even
though it takes two business days to set up a new payee,
can I still enter a bill payment to the new payee during
those two business days?
A Yes.
You may enter a payment to your new payee immediately; however,
the payment will not actually be made until the payee is
set up. Any payments made to the payee before the payee
is added to the system will be delayed in reaching the payee
by approximately two business days.
Q After
I make a bill payment, how long does it take for the money
to be debited from my account?
A The
money will be debited electronically from your account within
1-3 business days starting on the business day following
the payment date. If you make a payment on Monday, you can
expect the money to be debited from your account by Wednesday
or Thursday of the same week.
Q How long
does it take for a payment to reach the payee?
A A
payment that generates an ACH payment will credit the payee's
account within 1-3 business days; whereas, a paper check
will take up to 10 days.
Q How do
I actually use the Electronic Bill Payment System?
A Step-by-step
instructions can be accessed by pressing the help button
within Online Banking.
